Join us on day 2 of the Primitive Way of Santiago, one of the most beautiful and challenging stages of the route in Asturias! Departing from the San Juan de Villapañada Hostel, we skirted the Grado Valley and passed historical landmarks such as the Chapel of San Marcelo, the Palace of La Doriga, and the ancient Monastery of Cornellana. After a change of plans in the medieval village of Salas, we tackled the Senda del Nonaya, a breathtaking climb with over 1,059m of accumulated elevation gain. We conquered the 27.69 km of trail to the top of the plateau to enjoy the hospitality of the Acogida Tradicional Jacobea Fontenonaya.
