How I integrated Android Auto / Carplay to a BMW Z4 E85/E86 OEM+ style

This is my attempt at bringing Android Auto / Apple CarPlay into an old BMW Z4 E85/E86, while keeping the OEM factory display fully intact. The system is built around a Raspberry Pi 5 (generates the analog RGsB signal) And a custom PCB (reads IBUS, sends keyboards strokes to the RPI This allows modern infotainment features without replacing the original screen or interior components. This project and is still very much a work in progress. Currenty only tested on the BMW Z4 E85 but can probably be used in E46, E83 and other similar models that use the same OEM display.
