TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - New facts have emerged in the murder case of a woman by her boyfriend in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region. The suspect, Muhammad Rafy Ramadhan, killed Enggal Dika Puspita (23) because he couldn't stand the unhealthy relationship. When presented at a press conference at the Bantul Police Station, Rafy admitted to having been in a romantic relationship with the victim for five years. However, as time went on, the victim's temperament and emotional state became more apparent. The suspect admitted to experiencing physical violence from the victim on several occasions. The perpetrator revealed that he had long felt pressured in the relationship. He even tried to escape from the victim, but was always found. Rafy admitted that he still loved the victim and regretted his actions. He also stated that the problem should have been resolved amicably without violence. Rafy strangled Enggal after a heated argument. He had even hit the victim five times beforehand with crystal methamphetamine. After killing Enggal on Wednesday morning (September 25, 2024), Rafy left the victim's body in his rented room. Finally, when the room was reopened, the victim was a skeleton. Confused, Rafy decided to keep the victim's body until he found a suitable place to bury it. After two weeks of leaving the rented room, unable to stand the stench of the corpse, Rafy finally took the victim's bones to a guesthouse in Kaliurang, Sleman Regency. There, he washed them and separated the victim's bones from the rest of the rotting flesh. When asked why he did this, Rafy simply lowered his head and wept without answering. The case began to unravel after the victim's family reported that Enggal had not been seen for a long time, while Rafy was still using his motorcycle. The Head of the Bantul Police Criminal Investigation Unit, First Inspector Iqbal Satya Bimantara, revealed that the murder stemmed from an argument over burnt meatballs. After killing the victim, Rafy took EDP's belongings, including a motorcycle, an iPhone 11, a laptop, a wallet containing important cards, Rp 50,000 in cash, and a SeaBank balance of Rp 3.4 million. For his actions, the perpetrator was charged under Article 339 of the Indonesian Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
