"By Your Side" is an original solo acoustic guitar composition I wrote while my wife was pregnant with our daughter. During that season of life, I wasn't trying to write something technically impressive. I simply wanted to capture, through music, the feelings of love, anticipation, and quiet wonder that surrounded that chapter of our lives. Built around natural harmonics, open strings, and the warm resonance of Drop D tuning, the piece gradually became the emotional heart of my album, Once Upon A Time In America.
