Retro Touring Cars @Broxtowe MCC 2026

Fantastic event run by RTC (search retro touring cars on Facebook for more info). Traveled up on Friday, raced Saturday and Sunday. Great to see the RC community supporting each other regardless of age. Would recommend to anyone. I took 3 cars: Schumacher Axis - 27t brushed on NiMH 6 cell Schumacher Mi1 -17.5t blinky on 2s lipo Schumacher Mi3 - 17.5t blinky, 2s lipo (I only used this car for the Saturday eve club meet as it's about 6 months to new this year for retro). The Mi3 was running the same running gear as the Mi1, but was about 3 sec a lap quicker 😮. the main reason for this was the FDR. Really pleased I took that car, as I can now work out the FDR and get the Mi1 in the same ball park for next time. The Axis was untouched from the Doncaster meet 24. I had spare P2k's x 4 ready to go, but lack of time (I was extremely busy trying to maintain 2/3 cars on my own-lesson learned). When I glanced at the motor prior to final 1 on Sunday, I could see the + brush was half the size of the - one 😭. . Blew up a charger for good measure. Great weekend 💥🤪 s half the size of the
