🇵🇷 DECIDÍ IR AL CENTRO DE PUERTO RICO… y esto encontré

They told me not to go, but thank goodness I didn't listen! 🇵🇷⛰️ Today we left the beaches behind to venture into the mountains and discover the heart of Puerto Rico. From the narrowest and most challenging roads (where you have to honk at every turn!) to landscapes that look like they're straight out of the Alps, but with all the Puerto Rican flavor. We explored Ciales, known as the "Switzerland of Puerto Rico," and made it all the way to Orocobis, the island's geographic center. Not only were the views breathtaking, but so was the food. We tried Doña María's famous longaniza sausage at "La Sombra" and, finally, my first mofongo on the island! 🥘✨ What you'll discover in this video: The Switzerland of Puerto Rico: Why is Ciales called that? Landscapes that don't look like the Caribbean. Roadside adventure: Crossing rivers and climbing mountains on single-lane roads. 🚗💦 Jíbaro Culture: Discovering traditional music and the warmth of the people of the countryside. Feast in Orocobis: Trying mofongo de pavochón, rice with longaniza sausage, fried cheese with guava, and the refreshing Coco Rico. 🥥 Tour of Orocobis Plaza: A town full of history, cleanliness, and vibrant life. If you're planning a trip to Puerto Rico, you have to venture off the coast! The mountains have a unique magic that will captivate you. Have you already visited the island's interior?
