Art Staymates recounts his life in the US military before and during World War II. From growing up in Pennsylvania as a hometown boy and first hearing about the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. Boot camp, to the moment of the D-Day landing on Omaha beach. From there onto the battle of the Bulge and the battle of Aachen, Germany (20,21 Oct 1944) where the first major battle of the war was fought on German territory. At the end of the war Lt.
