Home made SPRING powered car - Torsion not Tension

Back in May, Magnetman2010 wondered if I could make a car powered by a spring and a bit of string wrapped round the back axle. I didn't have a suitable spring so I made my own. That spring was a bit too strong but the car still worked. Today I decided to try using that spring in torsion instead of tension and it worked fine, rather like a mousetrap. Make the dimensions to suit the materials you have available. The basic chassis is plastic conduit, the cross members are plastic ball pen tubes. The axles can be bbq skewers. The wheels are CDs or DVDs, you will need 4 and the hubs are plastic bottle tops you will need 8.
