Tunisian Simple Stitch

This video demonstrates how to make the basic afghan stitch also known as the Tunisian Simple stitch, Tunisian basic stitch or Tunisian knit stitch, and others. This stitch creates a thermal fabric that has even squares that is ideal for cross stitching. Use a larger hook than recommended on the yarn label for less curling and a softer drape. Here is the project pages for two afghans I made using this stitch. The first one has squares that are later cross-stitched and sewn together.
