The Truth About Spain’s ‘Untouched’ Islands

There’s always one day on a trip that stays with you, and for us, this was the one. We took a boat from Vigo out to the Cíes Islands - a protected corner of Galicia that feels nothing like the mainland and nothing like anywhere else in Spain. Turquoise water, wild forests, steep cliffs, seabirds everywhere… it’s one of those places that reminds you what the land looks like when humans step back. In this video, we explore the islands, hike up to the lighthouse viewpoints, wander through the pine forests, and talk about why places like this feel so deeply connected to who we are. There’s culture, history, nature, and a bit of personal reflection too - including a quick update on my wrist recovery after months of physiotherapy. If you enjoy seeing Spain through a more honest, grounded lens, I think you’ll love this one. If you’d like to support me directly, you can buy me a coffee at https://buymeacoffee.com/davantsi.
