2017 Clayton Christmas Parade - Brought to you by Clayton Rotary!

More than 70 entries, 100's of participants and....SNOW!!! Hail to our hearty hometown. Downtown Clayton came alive with the Christmas spirit despite the chill and Town of Clayton TV was proud to be there to capture this family tradition! Our favorite shot has to be the awesome Clayton High School Marching Band coming down Main Street with the snowflakes kissing those chilly Comets! (26:40) And of course, Santa Claus on a antique fire truck! Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers from the Clayton Rotary who made this year's parade possible! This community service organization appreciates all the comments about the new route. They will be reviewing the route, but with the goal of safety in mind, the new starting and ending point at Clayton High received a lot of positive comments from those participating. Rotary also heard comments about having a rain date and those concerns will definitely be taken into consideration.Parades take tons of coordination and dozens and dozens of volunteers to pull off! Special thanks to the Clayton Police officers who helped make this parade possible too - pretty much the entire force was out to keep us safe! We love that everyone persevered with great attitudes, despite the "frightful" weather!
