Born on May 3, 1943, Drauzio Varella is a physician, writer, and communicator who has built one of the most remarkable and respected careers in Brazilian medicine. His ability to democratize health information extends far beyond his doctor's office, leading him to educate the public about prevention, exercise, and healthy habits through radio, television, the internet, and more than 20 published books. Today, at 82 years old, Drauzio revisits his childhood in Brás, his work as an oncologist, his campaign against AIDS, his volunteer work in prisons, and his profound relationship with sports as a path to balance and well-being. In the film "Life is a Marathon," Dr. Drauzio Varella becomes the protagonist of his own story and shows the public a side of himself never before seen.
