Comments on the Use of a Dew Strap and Dew Shield with an SCT
Dew prevention when using a large-diameter SCT is challenging at best. I have not had good results with a dew strap alone and a dew shield creates guiding issues with any wind at all. I review some recent findings with my 33"-long Dew-Not dew strap and my unheated Astrozap dew shield attached to my Celestron C9.25 SCT.
