I Gave StellaVita a Year. I Still Can’t Recommend It | It might be my fault, who knows

I bought the Touptek StellaVita with my own money in March 2025 because the idea made sense: more open than an ASIAIR, more flexible with third-party gear, and less locked into one ecosystem. A year later, my verdict is simple: I do not recommend it. The Wi-Fi setup is awkward, the USB port situation is limiting, mount support is inconsistent, autofocus has not been dependable enough across my rigs, and software updates have been frustrating enough to waste clear nights. That is a serious problem for a device that is supposed to reduce friction in the field. Not to mention the issues pulling images off the on device storage, the usb c port that does nothing, etc. I also talk about why the new Pro model does not solve the main issue in my view, and why a mini PC still ends up being the better buy for this kind of setup. 0:00 Get Subscribed! 0:45 Why this review matters 1:38 What I wanted this to be 3:00 Wi-Fi and USB-port problems 4:30 Mount support and gain scales 6:10 Autofocus and focuser issues 7:13 Update process frustrations 8:35 Why the mini PC comparison hurts 9:32 Verdict 09:50 What does this mean for the upcoming PRO 10:50 Outro #astrophotography #stellavita #touptek #deepskylab #review #asiair #minipc
