2025: A Year at Guildhall School

2025 in numbers, performances and unforgettable moments. From 40,000 lessons delivered across our Guildhall Young Artists (GYA) network in a year, to opera, drama, jazz and classical concerts and festivals across the School, it's been quite the year. 2025 saw Guildhall Ignite reach a milestone of 900 professional musicians coached through their ‘Leaders On and Off Stage’ programme, since launching in 2020. Our stages came alive with opera from Mansfield Park and Dido & Aeneas to the UK premiere of Respighi’s Lucrezia, alongside drama productions including Enron, The Welkin, Orlando, The Winter’s Tale and Henry VIII. Over 800 of you joined us in the summer as we delivered our biggest ever Summer Schools, with participants joining us from 43 different countries. Packed with festivals, this year saw the return of Making It Festival, Chamber Music Festival and Guildhall Jazz Festival, all showcasing the incredible talent of our students and staff. Beyond our venues, two million tuned in see GYA students light up The Lady Mayor’s Show with their drum and bass marching band. Thank you for being with us. See you in 2026.
