No one had ever been worse off in terms of having their prayers answered than a Canaanite woman who wanted Jesus to heal her badly afflicted daughter. Jesus flatly ignored her, and the disciples wanted to send her away because her crying got on their nerves. But instead of walking away and accusing Jesus of sexism (because she was a woman), racism (because he was Jewish and she was from Canaan), and being hostile to children (because he didn't immediately help her daughter), as some might have done. Instead, she proceeded with determination, humility, and cleverness, and ultimately got what she wanted. Pastor Gert opens the Bible and looks into how this happened.
