Max Núñez, "Topographical Journey" - LatinGSD Symposium: Common Ground

Max Núñez graduated as an Architect from Universidad Católica de Chile in 2004. In 2010 he obtained an MSc in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, New York. Since 2010 he has directed Max Núñez Arquitectos, work for which he has been recognized with the Design Vanguard Award 2017 from Architectural Record, the Design Award from Wallpaper Magazine in 2013, 2018 and 2020, and the 2023 Building of the Year Award from Archdaily. He has won several public competitions, including the design for the Atacama Regional Museum, in the city of Copiapó, and the design of the new Los Ríos Library, Archive and Regional Depository, in the city Valdivia. His projects have been published in different international media and he has two monographic publications: "Max Núñez Arquitectos, Pista de Despegue", by Editorial Constructo, Chile, 2015, and "Max Núñez Arquitectos, Colección de Ideas", from Editorial ARQ, Chile, 2018.
