When you look through the highway of life the first thing that stares you in the face is nothing but evil. As our eyes are opened, we see satan and his host using man’s unrighteousness as material for his purpose. What is his purpose? His purpose is to distract us from running the straight race with God. Today people are interested in negative news in the pages of newspapers. People look to see breaking news on the television screens. This is not anybody's fault; it is because we are in a danger zone where everyone is exposed to things that are not consistent with God, Exposed to things of the world. A good example; if you give a little kid a toy gun and he shoots you and you fail to fall, he will be crying because his gun fails to kill. He will be crying because his gun fails to kill in the same way he has been watching people in the movies. Whatever you have not taught them, they have learned it in society already through telecommunication, internet, movies and books. You taught them how to jump; already society has taught them to fly. This is not anybody's fault; it is because we are in a danger zone. When you are in the midst of the people of the world you are in a danger zone where falsehood, unfaithfulness, greed and the likes are in practice. That is why Jesus prayed for His followers in the book of John 17:15"keep them in the world but keep the world out of them”. We are called to God's kind of lifestyle. Not in terms of unfaithfulness, not in terms of injustice, not in terms of corruption, not in terms of embezzlement, but of steadfastness, faithfulness and love. Do not allow the magnetic attraction of worldly pleasures draw you away from God. We servants of God ought to be always under the check and conduct of the Holy Spirit because all our victories over satan are obtained by the power derived from Jesus Christ.
