Thinking of fixing/repairing your spa side remote? Don't until you see this. In this video I show how to avoid the high cost of Screenlogic and use existing inputs on your pool board to automate your pool. Use a low cost (less than $25) inching Wifi device that you can readily buy from Amazon or Ebay. This works with Pentair but also can work with other brands such as Hayward and Jandy where you otherwise have a spa/pool side remote hardwired input. If your pool/spa input quit working, do this for a fraction of the cost of replacing your Pentair 521885 or Jandy Zodiac 7441...and you'll have Alexa, Google Home as well as an IOS or Android app. Note: Since I showed this back in 2018 it looks like someone copied it to make it to try to make this commercial - SmartSpaSwitch (Smart Spa Switch) is the company I am talking about. I do not own that company and do not claim to own the trademark but it looks like they copied me given the dates and they are using the same approach and also eWeLink. Why would you pay $60 plus dollars when you can do this yourself for $15-$29? SmartSpaSwitch should not be patent-able given my disclosure of this as my idea well before they filed for a patent or disclosed their product.
