Our 3rd annual 4th of July celebration in the mountains, Steamboat springs, Telluride, and now Crested Butte. Find out what this magical place has to offer for the 4th! We are officially no longer strangers to the mountains. Two years and countless trips to the various towns we continually are surprised when we stumble upon new mountain towns, and Crested Butte doesn't disappoint. Double the distance of your Breck and Vail towns, but a little closer than Telluride, Crested Butte was the perfect stay. I have never ever seen a landscape like that, the amount of flowers are truly incredible. God outdid Himself. Watch the video for our meal recommendations plenty of good spots to be had. Only two things we noticed, overnight parking is an issue, although the signs said no parking 2am - 6am we seemed to not have an issue. I'm assuming that's for winter so they can plow the lots. Also, not a lot of hotels, we stayed in a townhome. Part of the lack of infrastructure for tourists probably adds to the local aspect of Crested Butte and why Colorado likes to keep it that way.
