Once Upon A Time… ISRAEL VIBRATION | Voices of Faith & Strength • Roots Reggae Legend Tribute

Israel Vibration is one of the most powerful stories in reggae, a story of survival, faith and inner strength. The group is formed by three Jamaican singers who all survived polio during their childhood: Lascelle "Wiss" Bulgin (born 1955 - still alive to this day) Cecil “Skelly” Spence (born 1952 - died 2022 at 70) Albert “Apple Gabriel” Craig (born 1955 - died 2020 at 65) They meet teenagers at the Mona rehabilitation center in Kingston, where they are sent due to their disability. From this ordeal... something sacred is born. The music. Carried by the Rastafari movement and the roots of reggae, they begin to sing together, conveying messages of faith, resilience and consciousness. Their revelation arrives with the album 'The Same Song' (1978), supported by Bob Marley and the movement of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Their voices are not only harmonies... these are testimonies. In the late 1990s, Apple Gabriel left the group, due to personal, spiritual and financial disagreements. Israel Vibration then continues in duo with Wiss and Skelly, who carry their heritage around the world. Despite their physical difficulties, they tour for decades, embodying exceptional strength and dignity. With their crutches by their side... and an immense faith in them... they become symbols of courage in reggae culture. Today, two founding members have left us: Apple Gabriel in 2020 Skelly Spence in 2022 👉 But their vibration, it continues to live through their music. Israel Vibration didn’t just sing reggae.
