Hello everyone! This episode is essentially an announcement of a project I've been wanting to launch for a long time. It's a companion for reading books in the original English. Today I'll share a little of my very unusual story about how I fell in love with English and how I started learning it. I believe it can inspire you to learn English too. And for some, it might even change their lives, as it did for me. I'm launching something I really missed as a child, during my school years. The first book is Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. This won't just be an audiobook. Each episode will help you not only listen to the text but also gradually build knowledge. Each episode will feature a short excerpt from the book and several sections. The first section is new words. Before reading, you'll hear and see words from the excerpt with translations. This will help you familiarize yourself with the vocabulary ahead of time, making it easier to listen and understand the text. This means you don't have to stop and look up unfamiliar words in a dictionary every time. All the words are already in the episode. The second block is the original text. The narrator will read the passage in English. Your task is to listen and try to understand the general meaning. The third block is parallel translation. You will see the English text and the Russian translation right on the screen. This block will help you test yourself, understand difficult passages, and see how new words work in a real text. If necessary, you can pause the video and calmly compare the original with the translation. The fourth block is vocabulary with examples. We'll return to new vocabulary again, but with real-life examples of usage. This makes it easier to get a feel for the words and start using them in your own speech. The fifth block is vocabulary reinforcement. Here you'll train your memory. First, the word will be read in Russian, then there will be a pause, and you'll need to recall the English version. As a result, by the end of the episode, you'll have not only listened to and understood the passage. You'll learn new words, see them in context, hear examples, and reinforce your vocabulary. For best results, return to the vocabulary block the following day. Simply choose the appropriate moment using the timecodes and repeat. Word by word, episode by episode—and you'll read the entire book in the original. Along the way, you'll gradually expand your vocabulary and become accustomed to real English text. In addition to the main episodes, there will also be short videos. These short videos allow you to simply listen to the text without detailed word analysis.
