Declaran estado de emergencia en 796 distritos de Perú por lluvias asociadas a fenómeno El Niño

The Peruvian government declared a state of emergency in 796 districts across 22 regions of the country, plus the Constitutional Province of Callao, due to the "imminent danger" caused by the intense rains associated with the El Niño weather phenomenon, the President's Office reported on Thursday.
