Exploring the breathtaking beauty of the Sanriku Coast/ 息をのむ美しさ－三陸海岸 —

The Sanriku Coast is located along the Pacific Ocean in the Tohoku region in northeastern Japan. The area was hit especially hard during the tsunami in 2011. Today, the area is designated as the Sanriku Recovery National Park. In this video, I visit the Miyako Fish Market before heading to Jodogahama Beach, one of the one hundred best beaches in Japan. Lastly, I visit the Kitayamazaki Coast, which is considered to be the most beautiful section of the Sunriku Coast.
