There, Nina and Jonas meet a biologist who restores damaged coral reefs. At a depth of six meters, they get to know his work and can lend a hand. The beaches around Krabi are among the most beautiful in all of Thailand. The famous Railay Beach looks like the setting of a travel magazine. The boat takes you to the island of Koh Hong - there is also the finest tropical beach here. In Bangkok, Nina and Jonas experience the Buddhist festival Loi Krathong. This festival is celebrated in honor of the water goddess. A kind of Thanksgiving festival, for which countless floating lanterns are lowered into the water on rivers and lakes. Nina learns to build the small floating boat from banana leaves and flowers herself. You can eat authentic Thai food in Bangkok in one of the countless food stalls. Thailand's street food is world famous. Nina and Jonas get a Pad Thai cooking class - right down the street. The traditional Thai noodle dish should not be missing on any trip to Thailand. In Thailand, the national sport of Thai boxing is still a male domain, but more and more girls and women are being drawn into the ring. Nina and Jonas meet Nong Toom - a former male boxer who funded his gender reassignment surgery with prize money and went from fighter to fighter. The boxer now teaches in her own studio and shows Nina how to properly dish out.
