If you gave your life to Jesus, the Holy Spirit dwells in you and He wants to give self-control to know how to handle each situation. Self-control is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit and it is for you to master your emotions and act with wisdom and calm in the face of the worst situations. And it is important to remember that the very field comes through prayer and their daily quest for God's Word. --- You have allowed the Holy Spirit to rule his life? If you gave your life to Jesus, know that you are not alone - the Holy Spirit is there inside you. And he now wants to lead his life, he wants to turn you inside out. And the Bible says that there are nine fruits of the Holy Spirit. And I want to read to you one of them in particular, so that you understand more about the importance you have the fruit of self-control. I'll read it to you: "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law "(Galatians 5: 22,23). All these fruits that I just said to you is a result of their dependence on God. The more you ask God to change your life, the more the Holy Spirit will generate these fruits and transforms you into a much better person, more able to live God's plans. And self-control is a fruit that will give you success in all areas of your life. You will be a person who will be able to control and you will know how to take the right decisions in life. And the apostle Paul said something about it. It says: "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires." (Romans 6:12) Paul said that now in your Christian walk you can no longer be dominated by sin. That is, you need to let God change your life, because the mark of a Christian is the transformation of his character. This is the highest mark that a person had an encounter with Jesus. People there in Acts, they called those men who followed Jesus "Christians" because they realized that their attitudes were much like those of Jesus. And so should be our life. So this self-control that we read about the fruit of the Spirit is something that will give you a discipline. You will be able to rule your mind, your body, and you will be able to set a good example before the people. And self-control, in Greek, it means "hold." In other words, self-control will help you handle your emotions when you want to extrapolate when you want to get mad there in your home, in your work. He will be able to help you handle your finances when you want to act on impulse, wanting spent what you can not. He will be able to help you hold your tongue when you want to speak ill of anyone, when you want to gossip. Finally, self-control is fundamental in Christian life, because people will try to take us mad. The devil knows the weaknesses sias and he will try you. He will try to make you fall, make you do things you did not notice and when you see, you'll regret their actions. So it's very important you ask God every day: Lord, give me self-control for me to deal with my mother, with my wife, with my children, there in my work, at school, in all areas of my life. Lord I want to have this discipline so that your name may be glorified. I want to read to you a verse that is there in Proverbs that talks about it: "Better a patient man than a warrior, better control their spirit to conquer a city" (Proverbs 16:32). Look how interesting thing! You better control your heart you conquer a city. You better be a patient person with self-control than a person who talks too much or act too, you want to do many things and sometimes just missing too often. Then God wants to give this self-control so that you win the promises that God has for your life ...
