Born in Genoa, Alessio Menconi began his career as a professional guitar player at the age of 16. Alessio has collaborated with celebrated musicians such as Paolo Conte, Billy Cobham, Jeff Berlin, and Jimmy Cobb. He was invited to record an album with Robben Ford, Steve Lukather, Hiram Bullock, and Larry Coryell, and has performed in theaters and jazz festivals in over 40 countries, recording over 50 albums. Guitar legends like John McLaughlin, Pat Martino, and Robben Ford have all spoken highly of his talent. Awards & Recognitions: Winner of the "Gran Prix du Jazz" "Jazz Lighthouse Award" Italy’s most prestigious “National Jazz Guitar” award (Eddie Lang) In 2012, he was the only Italian included in the compilation "The Greatest Guitarists of the World" published by La Stampa. Alessio is currently a Professor of Jazz Guitar at the “N.
