I had a marine take me on a side quest, but what he told me at the end touched my heart. It all started when I noticed a lady wanting to push mow her entire yard with a battery push mower. As soon as I spotted her, I pulled aside and offered to mow her entire lawn for free. She was super thankful and allowed me to do it. But while I was in the process of restoring her yard, a man came up to me asking how much I'd charge to string trim some grass along a fence line. I told him as well that I don't charge for my work. He thanked me, told me that he as well wanted to be a pillar of the community, and we ended up tag teaming the lady HE was helping out with a free lawn makeover.
