I wanted to talk about the power of verbal-praise for your dogs. There is SO much power in capturing good choices with a simple "good boy!" You can effectively shape basic behaviors over time with good timing. I separate my verbal-markers into praise-marker and payment-markers. A praise-marker marks a good choice, but tells the dog no money or treats are following thereafter. It's so normal for us as humans to only correct our dogs instead of praising the good choices.
