Better late than never! 😂 It's finally here: My January reading vlog, for which I battled my way through a whopping 8.5 hours of raw footage! Two cameras, varying audio, 7 different songs, and a minor coughing marathon later, I present to you my start in Diana Gabaldon's epic Outlander saga! I received the series as a gift and firmly resolved to read one book at a time each month. Of course, I'm starting with "Outlander." What can I say? I've fallen head over heels in love with the atmospheric Scotland. The landscapes and historical details are described so vividly that reading them evokes a real sense of longing! With Claire Randall, we meet an exceptionally well-developed protagonist—she's intelligent, thoughtful, multifaceted, and I instantly took her to heart. And Jamie? He initially plays a more supporting role, but as soon as he takes center stage, the story really gains intensity! Although the book dragged in places and some scenes could have been tighter, it was an absolutely powerful start for me. How do you like my chaotic vlog from the sofa and the dining table?
