In this video, I show you how I use my mobile chicken coop on my land, transforming it into a real autonomous grazing station for my hens. The goal is to move it to the areas of my property where I want the hens to work naturally, taking advantage of their ability to search for insects and help clean the pasture, including areas affected by grasshopper infestations. But this project is not just a simple chicken coop on wheels: thanks to the photovoltaic system, I can power the pasture lighting during the night and keep the electric fence operational to ensure the animals’ safety. The battery allows the system to store energy and operate even when sunlight is not available. A fundamental role is also played by my livestock guardian dogs, who accompany and protect the hens while they are grazing, creating a system where different animals collaborate with each other. A special thanks to @ecoworthy_official for supporting this project by providing the photovoltaic system that allows the mobile chicken coop to be energy self-sufficient.
