Is the CFMOTO 450MT (Ibex 450) the Perfect ADV Bike? – 13,000km Review

13,000km later… here’s my honest take on the CFMOTO 450MT (also known as the Ibex 450 in the USA). This isn’t a first ride or a quick impression — this is a real-world review after living with the bike across everything from rocky climbs and steep descents to highway runs, gravel roads, and the daily commute. I bought this bike looking for something that could do a bit of everything… Something lightweight, capable off-road, but still comfortable enough to ride longer distances on tarmac. So—did it deliver? In this video I break down: • What the 450MT / Ibex 450 is actually like to live with • Where it shines (and where it doesn’t) • Who this bike is really for • And what I think would make it even better If you’re new to adventure riding, downsizing from a bigger bike, or just looking for a solid value ADV that can handle real-world riding—this might be exactly what you’re after. ⸻ 👍 What I liked: • Smooth parallel twin engine • Lightweight and confidence inspiring • Proper off-road capability • Great all-rounder for mixed riding 👎 What could be better: • Cruise control would be a big upgrade • A bit more power wouldn’t hurt • Could lose a few kilos ⸻ This is not a spec sheet review—this is how it actually performs out there.
