Warrant Officer Kwazikwakhe Sibiya of the KZN Hawks testified before the Madlanga Commission on 5 June 2026, admitting he knowingly participated in a cocaine seizure at the CHC Container Depot in Durban on 22 June 2021 despite being aware that national prescriptions were being violated, including the failure to call the LCRC forensic unit before handling 541kg of cocaine worth over R200 million. The commission confronted Sibiya with the fact that his sworn statement contained identical errors to Colonel Gavin Jacob's earlier testimony, with the commissioner accusing both officers of coordinating their statements before a judicial inquiry.
