Your yarn doesn't have a label? Do this!
Hello everyone, and welcome back to our channel! This week, I'm going to teach you an invaluable hack...how to work out what kind of yarn you have when you don't have a yarn label! Now, by type of yarn, I mean working out what weight your yarn is. This is a super important thing to know, as the weight of yarn is a huge thing to factor in when you're crocheting. It can completely change the entire look, size and shape of a project. Knowing what weight your yarn is also helps you work out what the recommended hook sizes are - of course, you really can use whatever size you want, but most of the time you'll probably want a little bit of guidance! We're going to use something called WPI (aka, wraps per inch). It's a simple technique where we'll measure our yarn per inch and then, using a simple chart, we'll be able to see what weight our yarn in and what hook to use. I really hope you folks enjoy this tutorial! If this helps you out, let me know in the comments! If you liked this video, I have some crochet tutorials that I think you'd love!
