The MARI LWYD came to call.

We went out for an evening of fun and music to the pub, and who should come calling, but the Mari Lwyd! This is a long-standing Christmas-time Welsh tradition dating back to at least 1800 (according to Wiki!). The Mari Lwyd, usually made from an actual horse's skull, although you can buy flat pack self-assembly kits to make your own these days if you prefer not to use a real one, makes an appearance at your door and comes in to serenade you with song in return for more songs sung back, as you will see from this video!
