Pianist, arranger, and music producer Oscar Iván Lozano, known artistically as 'OÍLO', was born on September 12, 1980, in the mining town of Andagoya, located in the Chocó department of Colombia. The first notes that shaped Oscar Iván Lozano's musical path were inspired by great piano masters, both national and international. These include Colombians Julio Cortés, Jaime Henao, and Álvaro Cabarcas "Pelusa," as well as renowned international maestros such as Papo Lucca, José M. Lugo, Bebo Valdés, and Chucho Valdés. One of the most important moments in his musical career was his participation as pianist and musical director of Colombia's most renowned salsa group, Grupo Niche, led by Jairo Varela.
