Kindle Fire HD8 Screen Replacement - It's Easy!

Our kids must have stepped on their kindle that Uncle Zack bought for them. We thought it was trashed. We looked around on YouTube for a way to fix it and sure enough there were a couple videos. Most of which were really long. We bought a kit from Amazon (see link below) and today we install it. Believe it or not, it is really easy. Should take about 30-45 minutes to do. Mainly because you need to heat the glass to make the adhesive loosen up. Don't make the same mistake I did and try to pry it off... use the small suction cup with a loop to remove the glass after you have warmed it up. Some videos said you could probably use a hair drier. Maybe that would work, if you give it enough time. I used a heat gun. Within no time, the adhesive was soft and the glass came out. Watch as I install this new digitizer... I call it a screen.
