Melbourne Bus Route 742 - Explanation and Full Trip

What happens if you keep extending a route longer than its supposed to go? You get this. The 742. It runs from Ringwood to Chadstone SC via Glen Waverley and Monash University/CSIRO, with about a 30-60 minute frequency depending on when you travel. Originally it was only supposed to run between Heatherdale and Vermont South, but it keep getting extended westward, eventually reaching Chadstone. Filmed on 31st March 2026.
