ABOUT THE NICÉPHORE NIÉPCE HOUSE The Nicéphore Niépce House Museum is the historic site where the world’s first photograph was taken in 1824 by Nicéphore Niépce, the true inventor of photography. Located in Burgundy, 350 km from Paris, this national and international heritage site has been preserved by Spéos International Photography School since 1999. The House also contains the oldest photographic studio and laboratory still in existence today. In recognition of its exceptional cultural significance, the museum was awarded the prestigious Maison des Illustres label by the French Ministry of Culture in 2013, under the patronage of the French Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Fine Arts. 🌐 More info: https://bicentennial-of-photography.org/ ABOUT SPÉOS INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SCHOOL For over 40 years, Spéos has been one of France’s leading schools for professional photography — internationally recognized and consistently ranked among the Top 5 photography schools worldwide by independent rankings.
