Markgraf (Ger) - Markgraf Hailing from the german underground is this interesting force located. With their very interesting mix of obscure 80´s US Metal in the veins of Cirith Ungol, Brocas Helm and the east european legends like; Master's Hammer, Malokarpatan or the mighty Root the guys prove that there is a lot of creative energy in the German underground scene as well. A band that is definitely worth talking about and really doesn't need to hide because with their debut album, which proudly wears the band name "Markgraf", you could really think that Robert Garven from the mentioned cult horde Cirith Ungol has created a new band but more darker, more evil, more raw..... of course still kind of epic. Great atmosphere with a really good production for a namless underground band. I really appreciate the many influences from bands like Root, Mercyful Fate or Kat from Poland which makes it more than exciting. Definitely the perfect bastard of all these bands. Not necessarily black metal, not necessarily death or thrash or whatever, except very much dedicated to old and honourable heavy metal!!!! Support or FUCK OFF!!!
