Hello, friends, my name is Alena Lipatova, and today we'll be discussing Vastu apartment correction and how to adjust an apartment using Vastu design. I'm a practicing interior designer and Vastu specialist, and I often work with existing spaces, as most of us live in apartment buildings. As you can imagine, any existing space, unless it's a Vastu home designed according to Ayadi calculations based on the owner's birth date, will have certain defects, meaning it requires Vastu correction. My job as a Vastu specialist is to minimize these defects, turning the space's shortcomings into advantages. And today, using one of my completed projects as an example, I'd like to show you how you can correct these defects using Vastu design. So, we're currently in an apartment where all the rooms are correctly positioned according to Vastu technology: the entrance, hallway, living room, study, bedrooms, and bathrooms. However, this apartment has a major drawback: the kitchen is located mostly to the southwest and partially to the west (this apartment is in the Northern Hemisphere; measurements were taken using a Lecher antenna). As is well known, it's not always possible to move a room to the desired sector, especially when it comes to kitchens. This is because there are regulations that prohibit moving wet areas into living areas. Also, any kitchen is dependent on the presence of a riser, as in this case, so in this example, moving the kitchen to the southeast, its ideal location, was technically impossible. Leaving it in the southwest is also not an option, as placing the kitchen (cooking area) in the southwest is extremely unfavorable. Vastu texts state that a kitchen in the southwest brings "immense sadness" to its occupants. As they say, comments are unnecessary, so a solution had to be found. So, the initial data is that 60% of the kitchen is southwest, and 40% is west. Since the west direction is more flexible than the southwest (the house is aligned with the cardinal directions, by the way), moving the cooking area to the west sector will significantly improve the situation. Therefore, the plan was to expand the west sector as much as possible and move all kitchen appliances there (primarily the stove, but also the dishwasher and sink) – these are the kitchen's significators, since the kitchen is, first and foremost, a place for cooking. And leave the dining area, or dining room, in the southwest, which is acceptable. So, what we ended up achieving: 1 - expand the west sector by 18 cm at the expense of the adjacent bathroom, allowing the cooking area (i.e., all appliances) to be located west, while the dining area and storage systems can be organized in the southwest; 2 - place the stove facing east (which also makes it convenient to watch the TV, which is located on the east wall); 3 - In the resulting niche, create a convenient and aesthetically pleasing storage system for spices and grains; 4 - In the southwest sector, tall wall cabinets were installed to correct the southwest orientation with weight, and a dark, earthy countertop color was used to balance the earth element in this sector. This is important, as a properly designed southwest creates a sense of stability for all residents. To bring the element of fire into the dining area and stimulate appetite, gold and orange colors were used in the decor. Furthermore, in addition to the layout and Vastu design, the Vastu geobiology method was used, and the negative impact of the slab on the west (as it should ideally face southwest) was neutralized with marble. This resulted in a harmonious space, both in terms of energy and the laws of nature, and in terms of comfort and convenience.
