ABBA - Super Trouper - Bass cover
This song was released in 1980. The bass line is partly played on bass guitar (Mike Watson), but there is another part played on a bass synth. I tried to imitate also the synth part which resulted in quite complicated fingering. The song is about a gigging musician, enlightened by a super trouper, which is followspot light used on a large stage. The musician's thoughts are with a cherished person in the audience crowd. Recorded using Garageband and OBS Studio powered by Presonus Studio 68c. The bass is Fernandes Burny jazz bass made in Japan in the 1970s. Passive, both pickups, Tone 100 %. The soundchain includes Empress compressor, Sonic Maximizer, Boss CEB-3 chorus, and SansAmp Tech 21 Bass Driver D.I. V.2 (EQ flat). Song info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_T...) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Not necessarily 100% like the original, but to be used in a cover band. This is neither a studio recording nor an educational video. This is to honor the composers and the previous generations of musicians and to enjoy the tune as is. Yes, there are mistakes and I hope I will be able to play the tune better some day :-)
