Two people killed in a fire incident at Gikomba Market in Nairobi

Tragedy has once again struck Nairobi’s Gikomba market, leaving two people dead. The deadly flames are reported to have broken out at around two o'clock Sunday morning, quickly ripping through hundreds of stalls and reducing merchandise of unknown value to ashes. Nairobi North County Commissioner Simon Osumba, who visited the scene confirmed that investigations are underway to establish the cause of the dawn blaze. Meanwhile, the bodies of the two victims were moved to the City Mortuary.
