#Wandern, #Fernwandern, Trekking, #Griechenland, #Korfu, Halber #Corfu-Trail (ca. 100 km), Tag 2: Von Benitses nach Pelekas (ca. 20 km/ + 850m/ -650m) Heute starten die Wandersocken ihre zweite Etappe auf dem Corfu Trail im touristisch geprägten Küstenort Benitses und erleben im Laufe der abwechslungsreichen Tour u.a. zahlreiche für die Insel typische Kalkfelsen, allerlei Olivenbäume, Zypressen, Alpenveilchen und Stechmücken, viele spannende Bergpfade, den aussichtsreichen Gipfel des Agi Deka, grandiose Ausblicke auf Ost- und Westküste, nach Albanien oder auf den kuriosen Flughafen von Korfu-Stadt, das leider geschlossene Kloster Pantokratoras, frisch betonierte Wege, die hübschen Orte Ano Garouna, Agi Deka, Kamara und Sinarades (mit Einkaufs- und Einkehrmöglichkeiten) sowie das charmante Bergdorf Pelekas, das noch zu einem Abstecher zum sogenannten "Kaiser's Throne" (ca. 1,5 km) einlädt, an dessen Aussichtsplattform schon der deutsche Kaiser Wilhelm II. den malerischen Sonnenuntergang und das 360-Grad-Panorama über Korfu zu genießen pflegte... Wandersocken on the Corfu Trail: Part 2 (From Benitses to Pelekas), 4 K Hiking, Long-distance hiking, Trekking, Greece, Corfu, Half Corfu Trail (approx. 100 km), Day 2: From Benitses to Pelekas (approx. 20 km/ + 850m/ -650m) Today the Wandersocken start their second stage on the Corfu Trail in the touristy coastal town of Benitses and experience during the course of the varied tour e.g. numerous limestone cliffs typical of the island, all kinds of olive trees, cypresses, cyclamen and mosquitoes, many exciting mountain trails, the panoramic summit of Agi Deka, magnificent views of the east and west coasts, Albania and the strange airport in Corfu Town, the unfortunately closed monastery of Pantokratoras, freshly concreted paths, the pretty villages of Ano Garouna, Agi Deka, Kamara and Sinarades (with shopping and refreshment facilities) and the charming mountain village of Pelekas, which invites you to make a detour to the so-called “Kaiser's Throne” (approx. 1.5 km), where the German Kaiser Wilhelm II used to enjoy the picturesque sunset and the 360-degree panorama over Corfu from the viewing platform...
