VTC News | On May 23, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc inspected the progress of the Long Thanh Airport project, the expansion project of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, and the operation of Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Regarding Long Thanh Airport, the Government requires commercial operation in 2026. To date, the project's output has reached approximately 76% of the contract value. Specifically, Component 1 (buildings for state management agencies) has been basically completed, with ongoing work on connecting electricity, water, fire protection infrastructure, and internal procedures for handover and commissioning. Component 2 (air traffic control facilities) has been completed and is awaiting underground work by the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) to complete the connection of electricity and water infrastructure before handover and commissioning.
