Cast Iron Waffle Pan Restoration Cleaning and Seasoning

Today I fixed this beautiful waffle pan. I bought it in a second hand shop during a trip in Göteborg (Sweden), I paid 70 kr for it, about 7 euros. Is a 5 heart shaped cast iron waffle maker, it is equipped with a cast iron ring to allow rotation on the stove for complete cooking. First I started this cleaning/restoration by soaking the pan in vinegar overnight, after which I cleaned with a fine steel wool. Then I started with the wire brush wheel on the drill. Once all the old burnt and rust residues were removed, I washed everything carefully in hot soapy water. I dried the pan with the heat gun in order to heat the cast iron before seasoning. For the seasoning I used flax seed oil, spreading the oil all over the surface, and drying it well with paper. In the oven for an hour at maximum temperature and I repeated the process three times so as to have a beautiful patina of a bronze color.
