【古墳だらけの島⁉︎】壱岐で路線バスの旅③

This video is about a trip on a local bus to Iki! Iki appears in the Wei Zhi Wakokuden (Records of the Three Kingdoms), an ancient Chinese historical text. During the Yayoi period, the island flourished through exchanges and trade with the continent as it served as a route to Yamataikoku (the ancient kingdom of Yamatai). Like Tsushima, Iki served as the front line of national defense, with defenders stationed there and serving as a battlefield during the Mongol invasions. There are many spots where you can experience history, and it is also the island with the highest density of shrines, so you could even say the entire island is a power spot. This video took us four days to travel around the island by local bus and on foot. This video covers days three and four.
