The final of the "Best Torrezno in the World" competition, 2026 edition, was held on March 8, 2026, at the Palacio del Virrey in El Burgo de Osma. Bar El Volante in Ólvega (Soria) was the winning establishment, with Hostal Restaurante La Tablada in Navaleno (Soria) coming in second place, and Casa Ramón in Quintanar de la Sierra (Burgos) in third. The final jury included: Mariano Tundidor Moreno, member of the Soria Gastronomic Cultural Association; Irene Galindo (Gastro Viajera), Instagrammer and influencer specializing in rural tourism and gastronomy; Miguel Ayuso Rejas, journalist and director of Directo al Paladar; Nieves Caballero, food journalist and member of the Castilian and Leonese Academy of Gastronomy; Óscar García Marina, chef from Soria and owner of Baluarte Quintanarejo; and Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, chef, television presenter, and businesswoman. Competition organized by the Soria Pork Belly Producers Association and the Virrey Palafox Restaurant, with the collaboration of the Soria Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services and the Soria Gastronomic Cultural Association.
