🥇 Removing Damaged DTF Prints from a Football Shirt - Solvent vs Hot Water Method

What's the best way to remove a damaged DTF sponsor from a football shirt — solvent or hot water? In this video I test BOTH methods on a classic Bayern Munich shirt and show you exactly which one wins. The shirt had a damaged DTF sponsor on the front and faded DTF namesets on the back. I split the shirt in two — one half treated with solvent-based DTF remover, the other with a hot water and Vanish powder scrub. Both methods work, but the difference in time, effort, and final result is significant. By the end, both sides are cleaned down and a brand new sponsor and nameset go back on — the finished shirt looks absolutely fantastic. 🔧 IN THIS VIDEO: ✅ How to identify a DTF print (vs vinyl) — the white blocking layer test ✅ Solvent DTF remover method — step by step (front application vs reverse application for coloured prints) ✅ Hot water & Vanish Oxy Action scrub method — full walkthrough ✅ Direct comparison — time, effort, and quality of result ✅ How to prep the shirt surface before pressing on a new sponsor ✅ New sponsor and nameset applied — full restoration finish 🛠️ PRODUCTS & TOOLS USED: → Solvent-based DTF Remover - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EQ7... → Lightbox - https://amzn.to/4cZ6pFw → Spot Solve (solvent spot stain remover) - https://www.worldofclean.co.uk/spot-s... → Calpol syringe (application) → Scraper (available in our shop — link below) - https://stan.store/wefixkits → Cotton pads & kitchen towel → Vanish Oxy Action powder - https://amzn.to/4n73Vue → Hot water & shower sponge → Rubber gloves ⚠️ KEY TIPS: Apply solvent to the reverse side for coloured DTF prints to avoid smearing colour into the fabric Apply to the front for white/colourless DTF elements Always finish with a solvent spot stain remover to eliminate smear marks Hot water scrubbing on older shirts risks fraying — treat with care 📦 Shop our scrapers & tools: https://stan.store/wefixkits 🔔 Subscribe for more football shirt restoration: 📱 Follow us: @wefixkits 0:00 intro 4:20 equipment needed 6:05 Identifying DTF 9:14 - Method 1 - DTF Remover 14:05 smear mark removal 17:08 - Sponsor residue removal trick 19:36 - Method 2 - Scrubbing 20:44 Comparison of results #DTFRemoval #FootballShirtRestoration #BayernMunich #DTFRemover #FootballShirts #KitRestoration #SolventVsHotWater #DTFPrint #NamesetRemoval #WeFixKits
