Onride: 'Dragon khan' 🎢 4K/POV 2025 - Portaventura world

Dragon Khan is a steel roller coaster in the Spanish amusement park PortAventura Park. The roller coaster contains seat trains with a maximum of 3 trains that can run on the track at the same time. Dragon Khan has 8 inversions, which was a world record until 2002 . The record was broken when the Colossus roller coaster opened in Thorpe Park ( United Kingdom ). This one had 10 inversions. The attraction was built by B&M and opened on May 2, 1995 . It was one of two roller coasters that PortAventura had at the park's opening, located in the "China" themed zone, at the very end of the park. The track has a red color and the pillars are pastel blue. The three trains are apple blue, sea green and purple (the third of which is only used at busy times or in case of problems with the other trains). Each train has seven four-seat cars (side by side) for a total of 28 places per train. Dragon Khan was the reincarnation of the evil Beijing prince Hu, according to Chinese mythology . Dragon Khan can be seen from all over the park, from the neighboring hotels and from the neighboring towns of Salou , Reus and Villa-Seca . After boarding, the train is lowered to the lift ramp via a small trap in order to climb to the highest point. After this, the train crashes towards the earth and then loops again. After the first part, the train is slowed down slightly to start the second part. A photo of the visitors is also taken here.
